Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.
One of the most intoxicating bouquets, I could have just smelled it for hours! Once I actually took a sip, I was pleasantly surprised that the taste lived up to the smell!
This one seems very young to me. Fruit from Lenne Estate vineyard, as well as another about 10 miles from Lenne (can't remember the name). nice earth, acidity and light tannins. Fruit is hiding at the moment. Give it 6-12 months to show.
The 2007 - This was one of the best Pinot's I have had in a long time. It was perfect. Smokey, fruit, long spicy finish. It was delicious.
Full of body and flavor from the oft-maligned 2007 vintage. One of 8 2007 pinots I've tasted recently, and by far the one I like the best.
