Owen Roe Rook Red Blend 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2013 Rook was made to showcase the world-class Merlot grown in the cooler, higher elevation sites located in the Columbia Valley. The wine was aged in mostly neutral French oak to keep the bright fruit flavors lively. Showing red and black fruits, sarsaparilla, orange peel, cinnamon and tobacco, this crisply textured red is balanced by fine grained tannins and a rich, pillow soft mid-palate.

Owen Roe:
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.
