Owen Roe Red Blend Abbot's Table 2007

Member Review by MBSolberg:

What a pleasant surprise! Initiially taste lots of fruit, but not overpowering and very balanced. Soft tannins, very drinkable. Would please a wide range of red-lovers. Good by itself or would pair nicely with lighter dishes. I know another review suggested it would go well with hearty fare, I found it to be softer and very smooth. Will definitely buy again!

Owen Roe:
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.

From a devoted winemaker and from great vineyards in the Pacific Northwest, this red will bring you much pleasure. A tasty blend made of Syrah, Pinot Noir, Zin and perhaps more. Beautiful and packed with fleshy black fruit character. A good dose of tannins make this a wine to stand up to a variety of hearty meals. Hold for a few years or drink up today.
