Owen Roe Pinot Gris Eola Amity Hills Crawford-Beck Vineyard 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

David and Jeanne Beck farm this 1.2 acre block of exceptional Pinot Gris on their hillside in the Eola-Amity Hills. Their attention to the vines finds expression in this complex and wonderfully aromatic wine.

Owen Roe:
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.

Definite apple smells and flavors. While showing some nice acidity and noticable sweetness, it doesn't go over the top. Very well-structured. Very Good/Excellent - 87 points.
