Owen Roe Ex Umbris Syrah 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine was introduced as a one-time bottling in 2002 after a wild fire struck the vineyard's surrounding hillsides. The residual ash and smoke resonated in the Syrah grapes, creating a very memorable wine. Year after year, David O'Reilly has been asked to develop a Syrah to keep the story of this wine alive!

Owen Roe:
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.
