This is the third in a string of excellent Owen Roe Reds tasted this year, made by David O'Reilly. This is not an easy wine to forget. The nose is darkly focused earthy cherry and cassis sprinkled with fleur de sel and bruised blueberry. Stunning concentration on the palate with beautifully formed tannin cradling the coffee and black licorice laced flavors mingled with cedar and mocha.
