Owen Roe Cabernet Franc Yakima Valley Slide Mountain 2008
[Only 1788 bottles produced from this vintage.] One of the finest Owen Roe wines! The Slide Mountain Vineyard is located at the farthest west-end of the Yakima Valley at elevations of over 1500 feet. The wine is ripe and very silky with notes of aromatic cedar and spice. Flavors of berry green olive and hints of tobacco meld to form a wonderfully complex and complete wine. Limited release.
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.
