Owen Roe Cabernet Franc Rosa Mystica Block United States Washington Columbia Valley Yakima Valley 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): (just 20% new oak) Good medium red. Musky, slightly raw aromas of red berries and pepper. Sweet on entry, then peppery and uncompromising in the middle, with a much more restrained sweetness to its red berry, earth and tobacco flavors. Moderately dense but not at all thick-and quite light on its feet. Finishes with a serious dusting of fine tannins. I like this style. (Nov/Dec 2010)

Owen Roe:
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.
