This juicy one had good notes of cherries with interestingly a little pepper. Overall pretty simple red with a tannic finish which was a little rough.
The 2007 Matchless is what sold me on the Otis Kenyon wine club. Its smooth and delightful blend of merlot and cab is everything I love about a good red. I bought out the last couple bottles the last time I visited, and was fortunate enough to taste the 08 vintage, which is more cab-dominant than the 07 but equally delicious.

Aromas of dried herbs and cedar are at the forefront of this Estate red wine, and nuances of cocoa, wood smoke and currant are lurking not far away. Red cherry and blackberry flavors give way to round tannins and a balanced acidity, enabling this wine to work well with food in the near term.
