I loved just smelling this wine. I was afraid to drink it as first, because the smell was so wonderful that I didn't want to be disappointed with a blah finish. A slight whiff reminded me of chocolate covered cherries, and as my nose grew more familiar with the smell I caught on to hints of coffee roasting and maybe some toasted brie? Once I sipped the wine I knew that I would love to open a bottle of this with a juicy steak and discover all the different flavor possibilities of fruity chocolate goodness. The finish didn't linger for forever, but I think that makes it an even better pair for a meal.

This is what Walla Walla cab is all about. Wonderful nose, mouth feel and finish. I plan on snatching up a few a bottles for my cellar and I look forward to revisiting this wine in a couple of years.
The short of things - mocha and butter toffee with a hint of anise on the nose, lush mouth feel with flavors of coffee and dried cherries with a hint of cocoa dust. The long of things - well it was the finish. Lovely soft caramelly flavors for days. Reminds me of when my hair was long - I just got it cut on Saturday. . . . 7 inches is a lot to lose.
This classic Walla Walla Valley Cabernet introduces itself with inviting dark cherry, licorice and coffee aromas wrapped around playful blueberry and lavender notes. Juicy plum and currant balance plush tannins and a smoky finish. This wine rewards familiarity and will continue to soften with age.
