Osborne Amontillado Medium Sherry NV

Member Review by puhnner:

Medium Dry Sherry; First scents of baking yeast and baking spices, slight golden raisin smell and tastes, then a smoky toasted almonds and filberts. Long long finish. Had this alone, as an after dinner drink, but would work well with food. Price-wise, a great value... here is a bit from a Wine Enthusiast review: 'Seductive caramel, toffee and hazelnut aromas lead to an equally nutty palate that features maple and more toffee. Not the most complex Sherry going; it’s more forward and easy to grasp, so novices should enjoy the sweet and salty mix and the marathon-length finish.'

The history of Osborne can be traced back no the end of the 18th century, when a young English trader, Thomas Osborne Mann, from Exeter (Devon, England), settled in Cadiz. Read less
