- 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot Ornellaia 2003 is a wine that shows the great ripeness of the vintage through its abundant ripe fruit flavours, scents of exotic spices and a rich and generous texture. The important proportion of Cabernet franc and the PetitVerdot add their complex aromatics, their freshness that together with the wine's richness give a bottle of great harmony and balance.

- Sweet, rather oaky nose. This wine is on a tightrope trying desperately not to be too hot, nor to show its 14.5 per cent alcohol too obviously. Rather burly, autumnal drying finish. Not a happy whole, and and even a bit of a hole in the middle.
