Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

User Reviews for Orin Swift Papillon Napa Valley

Winemaker's Notes:

Winemaking phenom David Phinney creates this wine by sourcing several of Napa Valley's most celebrated vineyards on Howell Mountain, Saint Helena, Rutherford, and Oakville. This year's edition is comprised of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. Based on our tastings, this wine will easily stand up to and outperform many of its counterparts carrying $75 to $100 price tags. The wine has a very dense garnet hue with a slight stain of cardinal on the rim. Aromas of plum and cassis are built around soft French oak and cedar box nuances. The entry is intense, yet elegant with loads of boysenberry and dark fruit flavors. Well integrated tannin chains provide for a long, soft finish.
