Orin Swift Grenache Petite Syrah Syrah Napa Valley Abstract 2011
Fans of Orin Swift's Spectacular Line-up of wines made by the very talented proprietor Dave Phinney will once again be blown away by this hedonistic effort. The aromas are all berry and black fruits, with neatly integrated caramelized oak. A huge entry coats the mouth. The wine has tons of weight on the mid-palate and is dense with layers of ripe cherry and strawberries. The finish is laced with long soft tannins that go on and on. This wine must be tasted as it provides so much value in this modest price point.

Aromas of black cherry and cassis are supported by notes of dried herbs, clove, eucalyptus and a touch of forest floor on a rich, imposing bouquet. Made in Dave Phinneys typical full-bo... Alex Shaw.
