Tested at 72 deg F. Lively nose of pear and stone/mineral, hints of volatiles (petrol), possibly a bit of herb or leaves. In the mouth round, smooth, with good deep sour pear fruit and almost strong "wet steel" mineral taste. Apparent sweetness not much higher than a kabinett riesling. Finish short to medium of same elements in the mouth. Excellent effort by the winemaker and I'm eager to try it chilled. Off-dry. Body medium plus, acid medium (or slightly higher). 10% abv.

    The reds: too high in alcohol and acidity, misleading labels. The whites: Pear wine is not what it used to be. Bad overall flavor, too much yeast. From what I was told, it might come from the over handling of the fruit... Other whites are average. Conclusion: probably too young in the wine making, use of bad fruit, re use of oak barrels over and over. Prices online are not accurate.
