Much lighter and thinner than the 2006, and much less flavorful. Almost bitter, but, this IS a very young wine.

perhaps it was due to just returning from a pinot tasting extravaganza in the Russian River Valley, but i felt this wine was overly simple. i realize oregon pinot, in general, is supposed to reflect a more old world style, but it seemed overly tannic, very little fruit came through (under-ripe cherry mostly). it's a bit young, and it mellowed out a bit after i left the last two glasses in the bottle on the counter overnight...i'd try it again in a year.

Elegant, with bright red berries, purple flowers and earth in the aromas. Vibrant and juicy flavors of raspberry, cranberry, and hints of cherry. It gains depth towards the finish, with brambly dark berries and subtle tinges of dried herbs. A beautiful food wine, and a ridiculous value as always. Buy an extra case and leave it in a dark corner in the cellar--you'll love how it ages over the next few years.
