From the newly named (2001) D.O. of Montsant, which encloses the more famous D.O. of Priorat, comes another wine from importer Eric Solomon. The wine is medium bodied with aromas of ripe strawberries and white pepper. On the palate, flavors of Asian spice and tea dance on your tongue in balance with the light tannins. This wine is a great match with a pork chop marinated in soy sauce. Looking for something new and different? Try out this wine.

This generous red offers ripe, jammy flavors of raspberry and black cherry, with notes of coffee and mountain herbs. The tannins are big but unobtrusive. The finish is clean and spicy. Drink now through 2014.
