Omaka Springs Sauvignon Blanc 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Spectator: `This is fragrant with very good intensity to passion fruit jasmine and guava nuances. Grass savory herb and fleshy peach flavors carry through the finish with briny undertones. Drink now. 16000 cases made. Wine Enthusiast: ?Typical Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc pairing ripe honeyed stone-fruit flavors with slightly grassy herbal notes. It?s softer and lusher than many of its competitors with less biting acidity and a soft mouthwatering finish.`

The fruit for this extremely tasty Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is from Marlborough Falveys estate in which slightly riper fruit was chosen from select blocks to produce this reserve wine showing ripe melon and passion fruit flavors, great weight and complexity with good length on the palate. A lovely summer sipper, try with oysters for a divine pairing.
