Olivier Leflaive Frères Bourgogne 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Situated in the south of the Côte de Beaune, the village of Chassagne-Montrachet has the characteristic of producing not only white wines due to its marly limestone but also red wines (on marly brown limestone). In principle, the best Chardonnay terrain has more oolitic limestone and less clay. The wines are rich and powerful with a long finish. Our blend comes from a "cuvée ronde" assembled from all areas of the appellation along with several lots from young premier cru vines.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
