Olivier Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc "Oncle Vincent" 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points Wine Enthusiast"This is a beautifully aromatic wine with toast and yellow fruits mingling easily together. It is ripe while also light to taste, a crisp burst of acidity giving the wine a fine lift. Yellow fruits, citrus and toast play together in this attractive wine that is ready to drink." 90 points Wine Spectator"A creamy style, with smoky matchstick aromas and flavors offsetting lemon and apple fruit. Turns leaner on the chalky finish. Fine balance. Drink now through 2019."

His son, Joseph Régis, was in insurance and along with his brother Vincent, decided to take over the reins in 1953. The estate soon began producing top-flight wines, mainly due to the arrival of air conditioning in Puligny in the 1970s. This was a major step for winemakers in this village which sits two meters above the water table and as such, had no underground cellars. Read less
