So I think the Australians may have solved the world energy crisis. They have managed to bottle power in its rawest of forms. It could heat your house, run your car or even boil your water. Well, maybe not (although, at nearly 15% alcohol maybe it could power your car). The name says it all. This is one powerful wine for its price range. Intense aromas of cassis, black berry and pen ink gets this going. The mouthfeel is heavy and rich, with a chewiness that lends some structure to the ultra-ripe fruit. After the jammy plum and berry flavors, things get interesting. Leather, tar and tobacco provide even more depth, and the aftertaste is reminiscent of dried berries with, of course, the classic Shiraz spiciness. (By the way, don't really pour this into your gas tank)

For those who may not have heard the news down on the street, Raw Powerandrsquo;s got a magic touch. Raw Power is much too much. It is no mystery why the producers of this wine named it after a song by the legendary rock group The Stooges; the wine, much like the bandandrsquo;s music, is bold, beautiful, and stands out amongst the rest. Slightly lighter than other Shiraz, the wine is sweet and offers a jammy blackberry flavor up front, but also contains a hint of leather in the finish. I highly encourage one to pick up a bottle of this, and have a real cool time.
