Olarra Clasico Rioja Crianza 2007

Member Review by duncan 906:

I bought this from my local supermarket as it was on offer at five pounds a bottle.Rioja is a defined area in Northern Spain[Protected Designation of Origin or DOC for short and the red wines are a blend dominated by the Tempranillo grape although Grenache,Mazuela and Graciano are also present.Crianza means that it has been aged for at least two years and at least 12 months in oak.I thought it was a very nice wine indeed being soft, smooth and mellow and also containing plenty of fruit. It was certainly good value for money
