Joël Foucou is one of the new breed of vignerons who have broken free fromthe local co-operative and he has established a high-quality 15 hectarevineyard, Plan de l'Om, just to the north-west of Montpellier. Joël isbuilding a reputation for wines with a real sense of place, making use of thedistinctive palette of indigenous varieties. Cinsault, Carignan and Grenachemake up 85% of the blend of the Oeillade.

With a hints of liquorice, and truffle and a rich intensity with round tannins, this woody wine for laying down will perfectly match red meats, sauces fowls and venison.
