Absolutely fantastic for the price...as low as US$ 8.99 (Rochester, NY). Subtle bite with smooth tannins, finishing the palette with a velvety chocolate texture. Deep, ruby purple in visual spectral quality. Notes of berries with slight floral notes.

Drank earlier and was quite spicy and peppery, aggressive. Drank 1/09 and was quite nice, pepper had folded in, smoother and deeper.

Winemaker's Notes:

Strikingly deep red and dark violet color. Aromas are highlighted by abundant black fruit, with notes of spice such as black pepper, as well as vanilla, plums, cherries, dried fruit, tobacco, tea, licorice and chocolate. Round, juicy and refreshing on the palate, leaving a long finish, which increases and fills the mouth. Well-balanced, with excellent acidity and mature tannins, there is also a nice complexity between the fruit and the aromas that originate from the oak.
