very smooth beginning , with a hint of vanilla to follow.. a nice dry finish makes this a good choice for the price
A good Bordeaux style cab. If you like French wines you will like this. If you like fruit forward cabs you will prefer another.
Nice value for the price. May need an hour or so to open. Drank extremely well into the next day Pairs best with red meat or pasta and red sauce.

Rob Mondavi, Jr. and fellow winemaker Tony Coltrin select Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from some of Napa Valley's finest vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford and Stags Leap. The climate of these regions yields grapes with the perfect balance of ripe fruit flavors and natural acidity. Rich and dark, this wine has all the finesse you could look for in a Napa Valley Cabernet! Serve with a juicy grilled steak served with crumbled gorgonzola cheese.
Dunkles Granat-Rubin.
Terrific Napa Cab from a textbook vintage. Hearty and robust, with firm tannins and lovely black currant, anise and vanilla notes. Great structure, indicitive of long aging potential, but drinks beautifully now as well. Recommended pairings include hard cheeses, braised pork or prime rib.
Lush, velvety flavors of blackberry, mocha and oak spices are framed in the muscular tannins that give Napa Valley Cabs their reputation for both power and elegance.
Napa Valleys 2007 grape growing season was lengthy, with low yields, but extremely high quality. Bud break occurred earlier than usual following a dry Winter and warm, dry Spring, but fruit set was inconsistent and left small berries in loose clusters. Cool weather in early Summer slowed ripening. In late August, the heat returned, but then unseasonably cool, foggy days chilled the second week of September, causing producers to leave grapes on the vine a little longer. A second heat wave at the end of September quickly finished up ripening the fruit. Although the growing season began early, the periods of cooler weather slowed maturation and caused harvest to conclude at a normal date, giving the grapes extra time on the vine. The small berries that were typical of the 2007 season developed intense varietal flavors and great concentration.
