Food Pairings for O. Raffault Chinon "Les Picasses"
Interesting - very dry Italian like (almost) - good nose at first - great taste at first but then... a bit dry and the fruit disappeared - not bad though at all - very good for the price - interesting wine - very earthy and lots of minerals - needs some time - we have another bottle and will more than likely like it better in time -
This wine has a medium to large body with a strong minerality and earthiness.
Tradition reigns supreme at this famed Loire estate. The grapes are of course handpicked and fermented in stainless-steel. The wines are then aged in larger neutral oak. The æPicasses' spends 2 to 3 years in oak and is usually released about 4 years after the vintage.
