A bit creamy on the nose with a lovely citrus and floral base that screams orange rind and blossoms. the red fruit and an earthy edge moves in with a little bit of air. Fresh and crisp in the mouth with a hint of orange cream accenting the bright raspberry fruit. There are enough tannins here to reward cellaring for a bit but they are very finely textured so this is supple enough to enjoy today as well. It's an easy, approachable style that delivers plenty of satisfaction, my only beef if that it finishes a bit short at the moment. 91pts

WA 92pts. - WS 92pts. - Winemaker Notes - Here's a wine that will require some time to sit back and ponder over. The obvious notes on the nose of big juicy sweet Oregon blackberries and Rainier cherries have layers of summer cedar forest, strawberry rhubarb cobbler, and roses so deeply red they hurt adding aromatic complexities. Richness is exuded by this wine that has a palate full of berries fresh off the vine and exotic Asian spices, but with a graceful elegance that is anything but cumbersome. It is a rare and beautiful thing to find a Pinot Noir with this much power that still maintains the balance and finesse that defines the best that the varietal can be.
