Norman Vineyards Red Bordeaux Blend Paso Robles Meritage No Nonsense Red 2005

Member Review by kenkeys3:

Smooth and soft, ready to drink right now. I open the bottle for the after work "1st glass" found it for $15 at Lazarras in Tampa - last one. If you can find it for 15, then pick it up. It will suit the pallet of most "middle of the road" red wine drinkers, and as a good everyday bottle for the experts

Norman Vineyards:
Welcome to Norman Vineyards, a small family owned winery in the beautiful hills west of Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. We’ve been growing grapes here for over 30 years, and making wine for over 15. Our specialty over the years has been elegant Cabernet and Meritage, bold Zinfandels, Barbera, and Chardonnay. Along the way we’ve thrown in a few small production wines to keep it interesting, and now, Syrah, which joined our lineup in 2002.

elegant and complex, the pretty, floral aromas of ripe cherry and cassis have harmonizing notes of mint and vanilla. Medium-bodied, robust berry flavors finish in a lingering, mocha aftertaste. Serve with mussels mariniere or a pork loin roast with basil. Enjoy now or will improve with cellar aging until 2018.
