The 2005 vintage of our most popular varietal is perhaps the finest to date. With the raspberry jam, licorice and pepper aromas that The Monster is famous for, this year’s offering has more depth and complexity than ever. robust berry and chocolate flavors, and a creamy, lingering finish are in perfect balance. This wine pairs well with a wide range of cuisine, from tuna to T-bone, as long as the entrée has attitude! Enjoy now, or cellar age until 2015.

It impressively conceals its whopping 16.5% alcohol. Drink it over the next 2-3 years." (06/06)

- This wine is awesome. So jammy you want to spread it on toast. Don't try to pair it with anything, just enjoy with a good friend and a game of Yahtzee!

- This wine is an opulent, over-the-top explosion of goodness - If the 80’s was the decade of excess, the Zinfandel The Monster® is the wine of excess. The aromatics of this Zin are to die for; it is bursting with huge plums, blackberries, cherries and a touch of licorice, toast and caramelized sugar (think crème brulee). In the mouth you will taste more plums, and Mom’s homemade berry pie. The soft round tannins gently coat your mouth leaving the essence of raspberries lingering long after you’ve swallowed. This is a showy wine; help do it justice. Serve it with appetizers of a wide variety, read more...or try it with both berry and chocolate desserts. And, don’t be shy to have a glass by itself, you’ll find nothing lacking (hide)
