- ($60) Very deep garnet-ruby. Briary, musky, searingly intense flavors of dark plum, cassis, prune, used teabag and assertive chocolatey oak. Vibrant, sweet fruit notes are compromised by somewhat cooked flavors of treacle and tar. Almost impenetrable in its thickness and massively extracted, it also soft and nimble: a sumo wrestler able to move lightly. Will it ever settle down?
