Noble Vines Sauvignon Blanc 242 San Bernabe Monterey 2016

External Review by WineExpress.com:

Featured in Wine Enthusiast Magazine's piece, Six Tax Day Wines, as a "fantastic wine" for "those needing to save" because it's such a great value. Noble Vines is the Delicato family's tribute to select varietals they have planted and in their estate San Bernabe vineyard in Monterey. The 242 refers to the specific block in the San Bernabe where this Sauvignon Blanc is grown. This particular spot seems to be ideal for Sauvignon Blanc to reach the perfect balance between notes of hers, kiwi, melon and citrus. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with select yeasts. A "Best Buy" from Wine Enthusiast Magazine who scored it 90 points and said "This vintage shows cut grass, ripe apple, pear, wet cement and nectarine sorbet aromas in a wine that’s almost as clear as water. The palate is textural and full of zip, with rainy day-like crispness and green fruit flavors."

Light in the glass, the aromas are mineral-focused, recalling wet concrete and slate, rounded out by red-apple and nectarine scents. There is good energy to the palate, which suggests lime pith, green pear and green apple flavors."

The wine is strongly textural once sipped, with sour apple, lime peel and riper stone fruit in the background, finishing grippy and clean."
