Nobilo White Cloud Sparkling 2005
Pale straw in color, with lime-flower aromas. On the palate, it tasted like elderflower cordial (lemony and grassy) with a twist of lime. It was refreshing, and I found it neither tart nor acidic. Excellent QPR.Add winemaker's notes

OK, this was my third bottle of this wine. First 2 were in the 88-90 range but this one tasted like drinking elderflower cordial straight up--unpleasantly sweet and syrupy. The scores and tasting notes have been all over the place on this wine--clearly there is some kind of weird bottle variation going on. Too bad, because when it's good its very very good but when it's bad it's horrible!
Excellent Sauvignon Blanc. Can be found at reasonable prices still. Citrus flavors zip across your pallate (grapefuit/lemon). Soft finish. Refreshing enough to drink alone or with a light meal.
Light grapefruit is the dominate citrus flavor here, making this a great late-summer wine to sip outside. Smells of sweet limes.
