Nice, fruity bouquet, a little sweet, but fresh
Liked. Between Riesling and Pinot Grigio. Had at Macaronis.
I drink much Nee Zealand Sauv Blanc and this has quickly become one of my favorites. Very fruity, changing complexity as it finishes, with minimal dry grassy flavor. Fantastic and worth the extra price.
External Reviews for Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough Regional Collection
Starts off with minerally hints of stone dust and melon, then develops ripe red currant and fig flavors on the full-bodied palate. Falls off a bit quickly on the finish, but itrsquo;s a decent wine at a reasonable price.
With more than a quarter of million cases of this wine coming to the U.S., Nobilorsquo;s Regional Collection SB will turn up on a lot of tables over the summer mdash; and justifiably so. Itrsquo;s a very good rendition of Marlborough Sauvignon, offering grassy aromas and flavors backed by lime and grapefruit. Itrsquo;s plump enough to have mass appeal, with a refreshingly crisp finish. Like almost all NZ Savvies, it should be consumed over the next 6ndash;9 months.
Bright and lively, with herbal pear and lime flavors that go on and on. Feels round, but itrsquo;s balanced with zingy acidity. Drink now.
Light and refreshing, with lime and pineapple flavors that donrsquo;t quit on the finish. Drink now.
Scents of gunflint and fresh lime merge in this bracing sauvignon. Its flavors of gooseberry and herb will meld with Dungeness crab.
Herersquo;s a good value in a light, tight style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc mdash; itrsquo;s delicately flaovred and perfumed, without the powerfully green Sauvignon character for which the region is noted. Instead, it offers mouthwatering acidity for a pan-fried trout.
New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at its best, this wine displays excellent palate weight and length, with flavours of ripe passion fruit, lemon and peach supported by fresh, zesty acidity.
