Brilliant. Intense aromatics combined with bright acidity and beautiful steely mouth feel equals one great wine.
External Reviews for Nk'Mip Cellars Riesling Okanagan Valley Vqa
Because the Osoyoos Indian Band owns both the Nk’Mip Cellars winery and the storied Inkameep Vineyard at nearby Oliver, winemaker Randy Picton has the advantage of well-grown grapes from mature vines. The vineyard has been growing Riesling since the 1970s. Because there is a mix of vine age here, Picton chooses not to call this an old vines Riesling even though the wine’s minerality has the fingerprints of old vines. The wine is crisp, with refreshing flavours of lemon and lime. The vibrant acidity combines with the mineral notes to give the wine a steely structure and a dry finish. The personality of this wine recalls the fine Clare Rieslings of Australia; like them, it has good potential to age. 88 points.
