Our vineyards are located in a unique environment that offers much but in return demands hard work, sacrifice and passion. Here the vines grow in exceptional terrains on the mountain slopes, protected from the cold northern winds and bathed in sun from morning to night.
I was told fruit was dried 3 months to dessicate fruit. Nose of hints of fruit and chemical. Mouth-coating sour ripe fruit with lively acid, a smokey grip, and slightly drying tannins that continue into the medium length finish. Body medium, tannin medium plus, acid medium. Dry.
3 stars (this was produced in the recutio (dried grape) style) Appearance: medium ruby/brickish core Nose: Medium intensity with aromas of raisins, dates and pretty floral (very nice) Palate: medium tannins, medium+ length, flavors of date, raisins, floral with a very pleasant finish.
Medium-bodied. Dried cherries, spices, vanilla tobacco, licorice. Later notes of tea and rose hip. Long aftertaste with tobacco dominant.
