Far Niente Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon(2004)

Aromas of very dark fruit, black currant, dark chocolate, dust/earth, vanillan and perfume are layered behind the ripeness. The wine provides a big and full entry, yet the tannins are balanced and have an underlying silkiness. On the palate, ripe cassis and spice mingle with well-integrated oak and evolve into a lingering, fruit-driven finish.

Expensive California Cab - how I love thee...

There's something about it that i've not found elsewhere. I call it fennel/mineral/earthy/fruity - and its wonderful.

Back to the tasting notes - Mineral and fruity (black cherry) with beautiful structure. A surprisingly soft wine with great fruits and tannins that just creep up on you. Still has a dry tannic finish - young - but beautiful nonetheless. Awesome - one of my favorite wines ever.

Dark and rich fruit on the nose. An extremely complex wine with blackberry and raspberry flavors coming through. Just great.
