Nicolas Potel Savigny-les-Beaune Premier Cru les Vergelesses 2005

Member Review by zufrieden:

This Potel number from the acclaimed 2005 vintage is really quite good - and after several years of bottle aging better than the earlier reviews might have suggested. The nose is strawberries and sweet cream with a hint of menthol. The body is a tad better than medium and more strawberry trifle on the palate with soft tannin that says more aging was possible - perhaps through to 2017. For a lesser neighbour of Corton, (Les Vergelesses) this wine sings for the price.
