Nicolas Potel Santenay Clos Rousseau 2014

External Review:

"A limpid red to the eye. On the nose red berry fruit with integrated notes of toasty oak. On the palate rich red berries with spices swirling about. Hints of autumn leaves and raw meat--classic and telltale notes of maturing Pinot Noir--emerge with time. Freshly-flavored, saturated with flavor yet light on its feet, with an acidic and tannic spine giving the flavors structure, this is a remarkably complex wine given the appellation--and only a great vintage like the '05 can yield a wine like this."
