Nicolas Potel Puligny-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Very rare! Nicolas Potel is known for his delicious red Burgundies; however when we got the opportunity to snatch up one of his rare white Burgundies and a Vieilles Vignes (old vines) Puligny-Montrachet no less we were thrilled! The wine has a nose and intense core of citrus and nectarine fruit and fine minerality with just an edge of toasted almond oil. Soft and understated on entry the palate is quite opulent but has outstanding acidity and a mid-palate silkiness that is effortless. This is a very classy wine that will thrill you now and reward those who can hold a few bottles over the next 10+ years.
