notes of aniseed and candied fruit. I could smell the alcohol. very light, smooth, long lasting in mouth. low acidity.

Rating: EXCELLENT Top-notch of its type - As reviewed by Food & Wine - 2009 Wine Guide on 2009. Biodynamic vintner/evangelist Nicolas Joly crafts this earthy Savennières from his famed Coulée de Serrant vineyard, one of the few single vineyards given its own appellation. This is a delightfully funky, golden-hued Chenin Blanc with aromas and flavors of toasted brioche and slow-baked apple, all enlivened by the wine's bold acidic grip.
