Nicolas Feuillatte Cuvee Speciale Brut 1er(1995)

Pale gold color, generous effervescence. The first notes of citrus fruit (lemon and grapefruit) mixed with floral aromas of may blossom and physalis make the first nose tonic and fresh. Then, in turn, honey, gingerbread and Virginia tobacco reveal aromas which are more suave and gourmand. Vivaciousness and delicacy characterise the citrus fruit bouquet which develops harmoniously to give good balance on the palate.

The three Champagne grape-varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, have different characteristics according to the region they are grown in. The Pinot Meunier, which accounts for 40% of the blend, brings out the vintage's suppleness and conviviality developing aromas of cakes to which are added notes of red fruit. With its honeyed palate this is an excellent wine for accompanying foods. An elegant aperitif wine. Excellent with poultry, white meat or a fine selection of cheeses.
