The Rock Cairn vineyard that Nickel and Nickel sources this Cabernet from lies on the southern end of the Oakville appellation, just east of Highway 29. Bright, forward fruit character is paired with plenty of toasty oak.

Winemaker's Notes:

This has got to be one of the best Rock Cairn wines that we have made to date. The concentration of this wine has a rich, coating quality beyond compare. Rooted in the famous loam soils of Oakville, Rock Cairn is a richly structured and powerful wine, showing ripe aromas and flavors of cassis, black cherry and anise. Notes of plum, cherry, olive and mineral emerge, giving depth to the texture, while the oak supports and expands the middle palate, and the mature tannins give length to the finish.
