Rating: 91/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. If never less than fully ripe, this deep and very well-filled offering is rife with blackberry fruit and never quite crosses the line into over-the-top excess. More muscular than fat on the palate and impressively balanced for the sturdy wine that it is, it is presently limited by a bit of gruff, last-minute tannin, but this is Zinfandel meant for keeping and should be set aside for another three to five years of development.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Cellar for future drinking. Wine will improve with bottle aging.

One of the most complex, and attractive wines we've ever bottled. It's rich and juicy. There's an underlying sauvage character that, as the French would say, completes the wine. We think this little beauty holds great promise.
