Bright ruby-blue color. Highly nuanced nose combines black raspberry, violet, bacon fat and graphite. Supple, spicy and intensely flavored, with captivating restrained sweetness. Very long, slow-building finish shows a flavor of dark chocolate. This rather reserved but very concentrated wine seemed to shut down in the glass.
