pear, vanilla, a little melon and oranges combined with a lemon zest on the finish. very flavorful. oak prevalent but balanced well with the acidity. really delicious, and complex for a napa chardonnay!

Grapes for this profound and powerful Chardonnay are grown on the Newton estate in the Carneros region and other marine-influenced sites where bay breezes and morning fog combine to create the cooler climate idea for full and rich flavor development. Scored 92 points by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and 91 by the Wine Spectator who "A rich, unctuous, buttery style. Full-bodied, with spicy fig, melon, smoky oak and honeydew melon flavors that gain depth, body and complexity, ending with a roasted marshmallow aftertaste.
