Winemakers Notes

SICILIA IGT NERO D'AVOLA This wine comes from Sicily, Siracusa province. The indigenous variety Nero d'Avola is harvested at the end of September. After a selective harvest, the grapes are vinified at controlled temperature of 26°/28°C. Then, the squeezed grape is macerated until the end of the alcoholic fermentation (6/8 days). Subsequently, the wine is refined in steel tanks. The color is deep ruby red. It has a fruity perfume with notes of cherry and blackcurrant. The flavour is vinous, velvety and smooth, of great body.
