Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Holy cow! Sweet BBQ on the nose - a mix of smokiness and stewed tomatoes. Roasted red peppers. The mouth has a semi-sweet attack with a tannic vegetative middle. A little bit of black cherry on the finish.

Winemaker's Notes:

A medium-bodied red wine from this foremost historic estate in the heart of the Cape's premier wine-growing area Stellenbosch. Matured in French Oak for 12 months, this wine is deep ruby in colour. On the nose: ripe plums and vanilla with a hint of dark chocolate. Forthcoming with a rich and full palate.
