Navarro Vineyards Pinot Noir Anderson Valley Deep End Blend 2005

Member Review by Balthazar103:

If you can get a hold of some Deep End blends from the 2000's, you're lucky - only limited quantities are available to the public. The more recent Deep End Pinot's are super tasty now, but will get much better after a few years. Or so our friend who works at the winery says - we can't wait that long!

Navarro Vineyards:
Welcome to Navarro Vineyards. Our family has been growing grapes, making wine and producing non-alcoholic grape juices in the Anderson Valley in coastal Mendocino since 1974. Since we are small, you probably will not find our wine in your local store. The majority of our production is sold directly. We hope this website makes it easier for Navarro fans to keep in touch.

This wine has a lot of potential and is already drinking beautifully. High-toned cherry and cinnamon on first opening, with a dark ruby color. As it opens up notes of cedar, cocoa powder, and blackberry enter into the palate and aromas. Continued to develop and gain complexity as we drained the bottle. Wait a year and check again, but I think this one will age well and develop in interesting ways.
