What to Expect

Pinot Grigio is one of the world's most popular wines. Also known under the French moniker "Pinot Gris", and even the German "Ruländer" among others, Pinot Grigio is a chameleon of a grape. It is produced in a range of styles, from the light fruity Italian style that has gained popularity, to a more mineral, flinty rich wine favored by the French - particularly in Alsace - and emulated by many in the new world.

Editorial Reviews

Redolent of pear, grape and smoky mineral scents this smells enticing. With it's rich, fresh slightly tropical citrus fruit tones on the palate and refined feel it easily fulfills the promise of the nose. A zesty mineral tone works with the bright spine of acidity to draw the finish out and lead to a finale of ripe pineapple. 91pts

Reviews

Tasted and bought this at the winery last month while on my way north to a vacation spot. I recall it being delightfully crisp, rich with that pineapple as well as some nectarine-like aromas and flavors. Worth ordering from the winery to have it back in MN.
Easily rivals some of the best Oregon pinot gris I've had.
Another Mendocino Pinot Gris to look for (or ahead to, 'cause I think the '07 or '08 is now gone after a rave Parker review) is Breggo. It was wonderful!

Gentle honied nose with crisp acidity which gives the wine dominant flavors of limes and quince. Solid wine for the under $20 crowd
