Argentina, and in particular the region around Mendoza, is making a name for itself as the source of some of the finest expressions of Malbec ever made. In this warm, yet dry climate the Malbec achieves near perfect ripeness endowing the wines with a velvety texture and intense flavors of blackberry, peppery spice, and balsamic herbs.
